Edith Mostyn Struder's Obituary
Mrs. Edith Mostyn Struder “Edie” age 81, of Leesburg, Virginia passed away on May 7, 2012.
Edie was born on March 23, 1931 in Washington, DC. She was a daughter of the late Frederick Laing Mostyn and the late Gertrude Dickerson Mostyn. Mrs. Struder was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, George Marshall Struder in 2006.
The Struder’s moved to Leesburg in 1959 from Alexandria. They were active in the community through the VFW, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mrs. Struder was also active in her church.
She is survived by her son Lt. Col. Kurt Laing Struder and daughter-in-law Catherine of Hamilton, VA; and daughter Susan Struder Rogowski and son-in-law Gary of Great Falls, VA.
She is also survived by six grandchildren John Paul Rogowski, Kathleen Pittinger and her husband Chad, Khara, Krista, Kelsey, and Kelly all Struder.
Edie was predeceased by her sister Ruby Palmer of Huntingdon, PA.
A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, May 10, from 6pm to 8pm, in the Janney Parlor of St. James Episcopal Church, 14 Cornwall St., NW, Leesburg, VA.
A Funeral service will be held on May 11 at 10:30 at St James Episcopal Church, followed by interment at Union Cemetery.
