In 1984, Mrs. Murray started her own interior design company, Courtland Manor Designs, and, as an accredited professional member of ASID, worked for many industry and governmental officials designing offices and residential spaces. During the early 1980s she was living in the Old Methodist Rectory in Herndon, Virginia.
