Edna Virginia Johnson's Obituary
Edna Virginia Johnson departed this life on Sunday, January 16, 2011. She was born in Leesburg, VA on January 5th, 1947 to the late Walter Lester Trammell and Maggie Lena Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband David Charles Johnson Sr., her sister Ruby L. Murray, and brother Howard D. Trammell.
She attended and received her education from Loudoun County Public Schools. She was faithfully employed at Loudoun Hospital Center as a housekeeper for 21 years until she fell ill. On September 30, 1972 Edna joined in holy matrimony with David Charles Johnson Sr. The pair were happily married until his departure on May 30, 1993. Edna was a member of First Baptist Church of Sterling, VA where she was baptized in the name of the lord on November 14, 1990.
Edna was a very loving and kind soul who made friends easily. She was a true friend to many and was a joy to be around. Her sense of humor attracted people of all ages. Her hobbies where word puzzles, BINGO, socializing with friends and family, and how she enjoyed MUSIC!
She leaves to cherish fond memories: Her loving daughter Sylvia Trammell-Robertson of Sterling, VA, and devoted son David Charles Johnson, Jr. of Winchester, VA; A son-in-law, Troy Robertson; four loving grandsons, Markus Bunny, Jaqae Bunny, Iason Robertson, and Dayvon Newman; Two loving granddaughters Danyel Trammell and Lakeisha Bunny; And one special great-granddaughter Skylar-Raiyn Johnson; Three caring and faithful sisters, Mary A. Thornton (Married to Lester Thornton), Margaret Hogan (Married to Dewey L. Hogan), and Elsie Jones (Married to late John Johns); And a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, relatives, and friends.
