Prayers of comfort for the family. Ed's smile and dedication to the excellence of officiating will be missed at volleyball games. Rest in Peace. Shalom.
We were in a band together for a number of years. Ed played keyboards, drums, and did a fair share of singing too...and he did all three quite well.
In a band setting you really get to know one another, and Ed's sense of humor and bumblebee energy endeared him to all.
Those days gave me enduring memories, how could they not, with all that good stuff that was going on?
We played bars and clubs and performed in front of 8,000 at the DC Armory for the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. Ed approached every gig with the same easy-going, upbeat attitude. This really made him a joy to work with, and in turn, that attitude conveyed itself to our audiences.
It is painful to lose not just a friend, but a brother in music, laughter, and joy.
In our hearts you'll forever reside.
Fond memories of many games spent chatting with Ed. Always professional, and living life to it's fullest. Miss you my friend.
So sad to hear of Ed's passing. Met him as a rookie umpire in 2007 and worked various games with him in and around Loudoun County. Ed's enthusiasm was contagious and his joy for life was evident. Seeing a man, 26 years my senior running around the field and putting 100% into the game made me give the same effort and it was always awesome partnering with him for games. Miss you Ed.
I recently heard the sad news. Ed was a good friend and fellow musician. I'm glad to have known him and Pidge. His memory will live on.

I was so shocked to hear of Ed's passing. Although I only met him a few times, it was obvious that he adored his family and was so devoted to them. My heart hurts for Pidge, Dan and Molly, and his extended family and friends. May you find comfort in the great memories that will live on in your hearts, and knowing how he touched so many others.

This was very sad news. He was such a great guy. We traveled on business together a few times and stayed friends. Always positive with a big smile, he always brightened every room.
