Edward Palmer Walker's Obituary
EDWARD PALMER WALKER, 75, of Sterling, VA, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025.
Born on Wednesday, June 22, 1949 in Leesburg, VA to the late Bonnie Palmer Walker and
Helen Gertrude Walker, Eddie was the oldest son of 11 children.
Eddie grew up on the family farm in Arcola, VA, and graduated from Loudoun County High
School in 1969. He started driving a school bus for Loudoun County Public Schools as a junior
in high school and continued to drive for LCPS for three years before working for Fairfax County.
He later retired to follow his lifelong passion for farming. During Hurricane Agnes in 1972, Eddie
rescued two young women from the flood waters along Evergreen Mills Rd, as they were
hanging onto trees to keep from getting washed away.
To cherish his memory, Eddie leaves 10 siblings: sister, Mary, and brother-in-law David
Studebaker of Stafford, VA; sister, Bonnie Sue Walker of Leesburg, VA; sister, Martha, and
brother-in-law, Michael Schneider of Dacula, GA; brother, William “Bill” Walker of Sterling, VA;
brother, Virgil “Rudy” Walker of Sterling, VA; sister, Helen Wallace Newsome of Lottsburg, VA
and late brother-in-law, Donald, and late brother-in-law, Chuck; sister, Ruth Ann, and brother-in-law, William “Mac” Proctor of Hamilton, VA; sister, Sally, and brother-in-law, Jeff Fournier of Sterling, VA; sister, Linda Walker of Countryside, VA; brother, John, and sister-in-law, Tammy, of Countryside, VA; along with many nieces, nephews, and other friends and family members.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 2 PM - 5 PM at Loudoun Funeral
Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cir. SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.
The service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 11 AM at Loudoun Funeral Chapel.
Interment will immediately follow at Sterling Cemetery in Sterling, VA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
