Edwin Alfonso Baker Jr's Obituary
Edwin Alfonso Baker, Jr, age 75, of Leesburg, Virginia, passed away on Monday, October 25, 2021.
Ed was born in Eustis, Florida on Friday, June 28, 1946 to Vera Lee Baker, the second of three children, following older sister Sharon Baker (Stiefel) and preceding younger brother Ronald Baker. His young days were spent growing up in Ocoee, Florida. He graduated from Mount Dora Bible School before joining the United States Navy. While in the service, he met his bride-to-be Sheila in Orlando, Florida, and they married June 4, 1966 in Lake City, Florida. They would go on to have two children, Kelli and Bryan, and Ed was always making sure that his family’s needs came before his own. And he loved cheering for his Florida Gators.
Ed was a loving husband and a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He moves on to join Sheila, his wife of over 52 years, who passed in 2019. Ed is survived by his daughter, Kelli Richardson and her husband Robert, son Bryan Baker, granddaughters Elizabeth Richardson and Amanda Harvey and her husband Kyle and his great-granddaughter Clara Jane Harvey.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Monday November 1, 2021 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175. A viewing will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper, Virginia later on Monday at 2:00 PM.
