Eleanor German's Obituary
Mrs. Eleanor Louise German, 87, of Leesburg, VA, died on August 24, 2008 at Heritage Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation in Leesburg, VA. Eleanor was born on January 8, 1921 in Orange Co., VA. She was a daughter of the late John Austin Neal and Florence Barefoot Hall Neal.
Mrs. German worked for many years as a Food Manager in the cafeteria of Jefferson High School in Falls Church, VA. Mrs. German was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Norman E. German in 2001.
The couple moved to Loudoun in 1986. They loved to hunt and fish, and search for metal with their metal detectors.
Mrs. German played the organ and loved animals. She was also a very good artist; painting with oils. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Leesburg, VA.
She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Beaver of Leesburg, VA; her son Norman Edward German, Jr. of Arlington, VA; her two sisters: Geraldine Kusseling of Alexandria, and Doras Whikehart of Arlington, VA.
She is also survived by two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Friends may call on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 from 6 to 8 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
