Elizabeth "Betty" Acosta May's Obituary
ELIZABETH “BETTY” ACOSTA MAY, 86 of Leesburg, Virginia passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, at her home in Leesburg, Virginia.
Born Monday, April 5, 1937, in La Ceiba, Honduras, she was the daughter of Angel Acosta.
Betty was a long-time employee of Ida Lee Recreation Center where she watched over many children of Leesburg. Betty leaves behind numerous friends and family to cherish her memory including her three daughters and their husbands, Denise and Joe McGovern, Cheryl and Bob Simmers, Anne and Don McCoy. Better known as Grammy, she will be remembered fondly by her seven grandchildren, Riley and Patrick McGovern, Shelby (Simmers) Beliveau and Dylan Simmers, Curtis, Connor, and Caelyn McCoy and her two great grandchildren, Haley and Harlow.
