Elizabeth Smith's Obituary
ELIZABETH MAXINE SMITH, 84, a long time resident of New Carrollton, MD before moving to Sterling, VA in 1983 died on Thursday August 2, 2007 in Leesburg, VA. Mrs. Smith was born April 19, 1923 in Mitchell, Indiana to the late Homer and Pearl (Asbell) Baugh. Her husband Gordon J. Smith also predeceased her in 1983. Mrs. Smith was the director of the New Carrollton Teen Club from 1953-1963 and served on the board of directors for the Sterling Seniors from 2000-2005.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her son Patrick D. Smith of Leesburg, VA; one granddaughter: Jennifer L. Marcus of Inwood, WV; one great granddaughter: Haley Marcus and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Monday August 6, 2007 from 7-9pm at Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Cr. SE Leesburg VA. Services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 on Tuesday August 7, 2007 with interment to follow in Culpeper National Cemetery at 2:00pm.
