OBITUARY INFORMATION
ELIZABETH ABEL WRIGHT, 83, a resident of Leesburg since 1944 died on Sunday September 14, 2008 in Leesburg, Virginia. Mrs. Wright was born August 20, 1925 in Harpers Ferry, WV to the late Stirling M. and Ellice Hardy Abel. Her husband also predeceased her Leonard J. Wright in 1978. Mrs. Wright was raised in Neersville, Virginia (“Between the Hills”) She retired from C&P Telephone Company in 1980 and pursued a second career with the federal government for another seven years. Mrs. Wright was a member of the Leesburg United Methodist Church.
One son survives Mrs. Wright: James T. Wright of Inwood, WV; two sisters: Kitty A. Stocks Fitchett and Eva A. Newton both of Leesburg; one grandson: Wayne Stirling Wright and wife Petra of Warrenton, Virginia; granddaughter: Cinnamon L. Wright of Warrenton; great grandson: Stirling Anthony Wright; two great granddaughters: Rachel Ellice Wright and Zoe Grace Wright and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday September 17, 2008 at Leesburg Union Cemetery with Rev. Jim Wishmeyer officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Leesburg Volunteer Rescue 143 Catoctin Cr. SE Leesburg, VA 20175.
