Elizabeth "Betty" D. Hardey's Obituary
Elizabeth (Betty) Hardey passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009 at her residence in Purcellville, Virginia. Her parents were William Henry McCusker and Catherine Theresa Morgan of Cambridge, Massachusetts. She was the grandmother of seventeen and great grandmother of five. She was an amazingly grand lady; a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Betty is survived by her husband of sixty- one years, Robert L. Hardey, her children, Pamela L. H. Martin, Robin S. H. Mentzer, Michael K. Hardey, all from Purcellville, VA, Daniel P. Hardey, Thurmont, MD, Karen E. H. Davidson, Baltimore, MD and Bridget M. H. Kapalla, Dublin, Ireland. She is also survived by two sisters, Veronica M. Moxon of Solomon’s Island, MD and Joan L. Hamilton of Annandale, VA.
The viewing will be held Friday, October 23 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00, with recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Brown-Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 34 East Broad Way, Lovettsville, VA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 24, at 10:00 a.m. Saint Mary Catholic Church, 4231 Catholic Church Road, Petersville, MD 21758, with interment at Saint Mary Cemetery.
