Elizabeth Good Thomas
Mrs. Elizabeth Good Thomas, 67, of Leesburg, VA, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2009, at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Center in Lansdowne, VA.
Born on November 6, 1942 in Westerly, RI. She was a daughter of the late Evelyn Whitford and the late William Good, and granddaughter of the late Earl Whitford Sr., and the late Myra Young Whitford.
Since 1987 Mrs.Thomas was employed as the Director of Admissions for several hospital organizations, the Charter Brookside Behavioral Health System of New England, Nashua NH; the Piedmont Behavioral Health Center, Leesburg, VA, and most recently by the Psychiatric Institute of Washington, Washington, DC.
An avid gardener until her health made it difficult to do so, she loved to spend hours at home planting and landscaping with her husband. She is survived by her husband Jon Thomas of Leesburg. She is also survived by her four children: Gregory Thomas, Merrimack, NH, Marc Thomas, Merrimack, NH, Troy Thomas, Waltham, MA, and Rebekah Thomas of Leesburg, VA; her brother, Eugene Good of Pawcatuck, CT; her Aunt Lois Brown of Pawcatuck, CT; her Uncle Earl Whitford of Pawcatuck, CT; her Uncle Lawrence Whitford of Mashantucket, CT; and 5 Granddaughters, Michaela, Angela, Brittany, Lexus, and Madison.
In Leesburg arrangements were handled in November by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, where the family received friends, and the next day funeral services were held at The Worship Center Assembly of God. On Saturday, January 16th a service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the New Song Assembly Church, 436 Liberty St, Pawcatuck, Connecticut with Pastor David Reusch officiating.
