Elvie Frye's Obituary
Elvie Joseph Frye, " Bubbie" 83, of life long of Lucketts, VA, died Friday, May 26, 2006, at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg, VA.
Born on December 12, 1922 in Lucketts. He was the son of the late Joseph Frye and the late Carrie (McGolorick) Frye. Mr. Frye worked for the B& O Railroad as a Trackman. After retiring he was the caretaker for Furnace Mountain Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his Daughter, Nancy (Frye) Waters of Lucketts, VA, Son, and Richard Stocks of Brunswick, MD and sister-in-law: June Barnhouse of Lucketts; plus
Eight grandchildren, Sixteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Mr. Frye was predeceased by his wife Frances S. Frye in 1996, a son Amos W. Frye and daughter Janet F. Neff. He was also predeceased by nine brothers and sisters including including Howard Joseph Frye, Viola May Frye, Minerra Frances Frye, Beverly (Bo) Frye, Charles (Hatchet) Frye, Eddie W. Frye, Ruth Kathleen Frye, Nettie E. Frye, and Mary Elizabeth Frye.
Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE 20175, Leesburg, Virginia, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Wednesday, May 31, 2006 and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at Furnace Mountain Presbyterian Church 12496 James Madison Highway, Lucketts, VA at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 1, 2006. Interment will follow in Furnace Mountain Church Cemetery.
