Eric Michael Gundelfinger's Obituary
ERIC MICHAEL GUNDELFINGER, 62, of Sterling, VA, passed away July 11, 2025 at home after a period of declining health. Born in Santa Barbara, California on January 18, 1963, he was the son of Hugo and Julie (Stavros) Gundelfinger.
He is survived by his son Jonathon Snow and his wife Erin, along with their children, Emilia and Henry of Tacoma, WA; brother Peter Gundelfinger and his wife Suzanne Smiley of Gill, MA; and sister Katherine Gundelfinger of Pittsfield, MA. He was a beloved uncle to John Gundelfinger of Crocket, CA and Hugo Pizarro-Gundelfinger of Pittsfield, MA.
Eric studied Computer Science at the University of Nevada, Reno. He was a talented network administrator working at the UNR computer lab, Interprint, Inc. in Pittsfield, MA, and Arvato Bertelsmann in Sterling, VA. He also provided technical consulting services to small businesses throughout his career.
Eric was known for his personable demeanor and fun-loving approach to life. He enjoyed music and motorcycles, and valued his close friendship with Michele Trankovich. Neighbors fondly remember his daily walks – always pausing to greet each dog by name, often before acknowledging their owners. His warmth, gentle presence, and sense of humor will be dearly missed by family, friends, and the community around him.
