Esta Lyn "Temple" Burke's Obituary
ESTA LYN “TEMPLE” BURKE, 62 of Purcellville, Virginia passed on Monday, July 18, 2022, at her home in Purcellville, Virginia.
Born Saturday, April 2, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Nelson Burke and the late Patricia Bell Burke.
Temple grew up in Warrenton, VA, graduating from Fauquier High School, and attended The College of William and Mary where she received her bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and English Language. In her professional career she worked for many years as contracts manager with different Federal Contactors; Most recently with Noblis.
Temple had a passion for The New York Yankees, The Washington Commanders, and The Washington Capitals. She was an avid reader and loved her dogs beyond measure. Temple was an honest and forthright person with a heart of gold and a generous spirit.
Temple was predeceased by parents and brothers, Brooke Burke and George Longmire. She is survived by her two nieces and her nephew and her “son from another mother”.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, Virginia.
A Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at Mount Hebron Cemetery. Interment will be in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Winchester, VA.
