Ethan Connor Dorsch's Obituary
A beloved child and sibling, Ethan Connor Dorsch passed away at the age of 18 on February 2nd, 2021. Born on November 19th, 2002, to Michael Dorsch and Susan (Dorsch) Yohe in Loudoun County Virginia, he grew up in Ashburn and attended Hillside, Mill Run, and Moorefield Station Elementary Schools, Eagle Ridge Middle School, and Briar Woods High School.
Ethan was a passionate and sensitive child and young adult. He was an avid hockey fan and devoted supporter of the Washington Capitals. His interests were wide and varied, ranging from history and politics to science and technology and many genres of music. He was especially passionate about social justice and equality, particularly with respect to the LGBTQ community and issues of gender identity.
Ethan is survived by his parents, his siblings Amanda, Benjamin, and Cameron, his stepmother Colleen Flaherty, his step-siblings Brendan and Katherine Marvaso, his grandfather John Smith of Leesburg, his grandparents Robert and Candice Dorsch and his great-grandfather George Dorsch of Wilmington, DE, and his aunts, uncle, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers his family asks you make a donation in Ethan’s name to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
