Ethel Fulcher's Obituary
Ethel Carol Fulcher died November 25, 2005 in Reston Hospital. She
was the wife of the late Col. Richard P. Fulcher, USAF (Ret.) and a resident of Northern VA for over 40 years.
Born in New York City, she attended New York Univ. and the American
School of Design. She voliunteered for military service during World War
II where she met and married her husband. When her children left for
college, she worked in retail at Lord & Taylor until retirement.
A lovely, gracious and cultivated person, she had many friends in the area. Her
interests included classical music, opera, art history annd science. She
enjoyed travel and meeting people. She volunteered her support for many arts organizations, being a founding member of the Northern Virginia Youth Symphony.
She is survived by her two daughters, Dr. Jane F. Fulcher of
Bloomington, IN and Dr. Carol A. Fulcher of Palo Alto, CA. A memorial service
will be held for her at the Falcons Landing retirement community in
Sterling, VA on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005 at 1 PM.
