Eugene Aulton Charles Jr.'s Obituary
Dr. Eugene Aulton Charles, Jr., age 82 of Leesburg, Virginia, passed away at home.
Eugene was born on May 12, 1930 in Richmond, VA. He was a son of the late Eugene A. Charles, Sr. and the late Mabel Young Charles Martin. Eugene served his country honorably in the United States Army and reserves for fourteen years. He earned the rank of Captain, and saw combat during the Korean War.
Dr. Charles earned a master’s degree in business and finance and obtained his doctorate of Naturopathy in his chosen field of alternative medicine.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 33 years, Patricia Langa Charles of Leesburg, daughter Glynnis Sherwood of Henderson, NV, and son Steven Michael Charles of Virginia Beach, VA; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 2 pm at the Capital Church 10233 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, VA 22182, with Pastor Amos Dodge officiating.
Interment will be held at a later date with full honors at Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project www.woundedwarriorsproject.org, or to National Pro-Life Alliance.com.
