Eva Virginia Newton's Obituary
Eva Virginia Abel Newton, 86 of Leesburg, Virginia passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016.
Eva was born Monday, February 17, 1930, in Loudoun County, VA. She was a daughter of the late Sterling Abel and the late Ellice Hardy Abel.
A lifelong resident of Loudoun, Eva attended Loudoun County Public Schools. After high school she worked with C & P Telephone Company and then on to NOVAC.
In September 1947, she married her husband William Gordon Newton. They were blessed with a son William G. Newton, JR, “Billy G”, and Eva became a caregiver for her son. She was a wonderful wife and mother.
Eva was a member of ECHO in Loudoun County and was a dedicated volunteer.
She was a long time member of Leesburg United Methodist Church and was a dedicated member of the Kathryn Eye Circle.
In addition to her husband and son she is survived by a sister, Kitty Fitchett of Leesburg, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.
She was predeceased by a sister Elizabeth Wright.
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 10 to 11 am on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175.
Funeral services will be immediately following at the funeral home at 11 am, on Wednesday with the Rev. Jim Wishmyer officiating.
Interment will be in Hillsboro Cemetery, Hillsboro, VA.
