Eva Mae (Gutridge) Cox
December 17, 1918 - April 5, 2011
Eva (MeMa) beloved mother of Jack Rains, Leesburg, VA and Michael Rains, Davidsonville, MD; grandmother to Debra Rains, Randy Rains, Denise Rains, great grandmother of 8 great grandchildren, passed away peacefully April 5, 2011 at the age of 92.
Eva is also survived by her brother William Gutridge, Silver Spring, MD and sister Hazel Ball of Ormond Beach, FL. She was preceeded in death by parents Robert and Lula Gutridge of Oak Grove, VA, her brothers Robert and Francis Gutridge and sisters Ruth Heurich, Marion Dixon. Eva was also preceeded in death by husband Mays F. Cox of Clinton, MD.
Eva retired from Judd & Detwiller Inc. Printers and did volunteer work at Clinton Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 12 noon at Sudley United Methodist Church in Manassas, VA, with Pastor Dennis Lipke, officiating.
Interment will follow in Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA.
To celebrate Eva’s life, the family will receive friends at 17133 Needles Court, Leesburg, VA, following the services.
