Evan John Phillips' Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Evan John Phillips, 34, of Leesburg, Virginia, who passed away peacefully on May 1st, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He faced his illness with courage, meeting every challenge with strength and grace. In the face of so much, he showed resilience and determination, inspiring all who knew him—a true warrior in every sense.
Born on November 20, 1991, Evan was the son of G. David Phillips and Teresa Michaud (Mahonski) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Known to many as “Ev,” he was a devoted husband and father whose sense of humor and sharp wit endeared him to all who knew him. He lit up a room with his infectious laugh and brought joy to those around him. An avid sportsman, Ev had a passion for skiing, golf and the outdoors, but enjoyed baseball most of all.
Ev attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania as a student-athlete, where he met his wife, Alba, the love of his life. Together they shared fifteen wonderful years filled with love, laughter, and adventure. They welcomed their son, Cameron, on June 29, 2024 – his greatest joy and proudest role.
Ev is survived by his wife, Alba, his son, Cameron, his parents, David and Teresa, his brother and best friend, Sam Phillips and his wife Alexa Phillips; his nieces, Sloane Phillips and Vienna Creus; and his nephew, Nolan Phillips and many other relatives.
A celebration of Ev’s life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to share memories and honor the joy he brought to so many.
