Evelyn McKimmey's Obituary
EVELYN McKIMMEY, 86, a life long resident of Leesburg, VA, died on Sunday, October 14, 2007 in Leesburg. Mrs. McKimmey was born March 4, 1921 in Leesburg to the late Amos and Linnie Fry Newton. Her husband also predeceased her, Mr. Charles Birtrand McKimmey in 1982. Mrs. McKimmey graduated from Lucketts School. After marrying Mr. McKimmey, a dairy farmer, she worked hard with him on the farm and raising her family. She was a member of Faith Chapel Presbyterian Church in Lucketts and volunteered with Interfaith Relief of Leesburg.
Her son survives Mrs. McKimmey: “C.B.” Charles B. McKimmey Jr. of Lucketts; a daughter: Sandy Carr of Leesburg; sister: Barbara Sensabaugh of Leesburg; four grandchildren: Kimberly Hann of Berryville, VA, Kristen Kizer of Berryville, Rachel Davis of Lucketts, Aaron McKimmey of Lucketts; three great grandchildren: John and Kameryn Kizer, J.R. Hann and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Cr. SE Leesburg, VA on Wednesday October 17, 2007 from 7-9pm. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Thursday at 1pm with Pastor Wayne Blaser officiating. Interment will be in Leesburg Union Cemetery.
