Evelyn Mae Williams Spinks' Obituary
Evelyn Mae Williams Spinks, 81 of Leesburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 26, 2013.
Evelyn was born on Monday, July 18, 1932 in Taylorstown. She was a daughter of the late Willard Alza Williams and the late Ada Elizabeth Painter Williams. Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Loudoun. She was a life member of Mt. Pleasant UMC and was a former Sunday school teacher.
Although Evelyn was a wonderful homemaker, she also was employed by Mr. G’s Cleaners, the Leesburg Florist and Jerry’s Florist as a counter clerk.
She will be remembered as a gracious, sweet and kind woman who loved gardening, singing, reading, spending time with her family and friends and worshiping God.
She was the wife of the late Robert Lee Spinks, who passed in September of 2008.
She leaves her family to cherish her memory including her daughter, Brenda Spinks Collins of Lovettsville, VA, sisters, Mary Spinks of Inwood, W V, and Betty Hood of Walkersville, MD, 2 grandsons Samuel & Grant Collins of Lovettsville; and her beloved friend Linda Payne of Leesburg.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 from 4 to 8 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church located at 13266 Taylorstown Road Leesburg, Virginia, with the Pastor Elfie Finn-McKenzie officiating.
Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
