Evelyn Gill Cole's Obituary
Mrs. Evelyn Gill Cole, 78, of Leesburg, VA, went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday morning, May 2, 2010. Evelyn Gill was born on November 6, 1931 at her family’s home in Purcellville, VA. The youngest of five children, she was a daughter of the late Charles Henry Gill and the late Pearl Hurst Gill.
A Loudoun native, Evelyn attended Loudoun County Public Schools.
She worked in various retail stores all her life including, Caulkins Jewelers, The Hub, Kohl’s Department Store, and Leesburg Pharmacy.
Evelyn is survived by her beloved husband of almost 58 years, Glen Perry Cole of Leesburg, VA; her daughter: Katrina Cole of Leesburg, and her son: Rob and wife Angela Cole of Sterling, VA; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Danny Gill of Middletown, VA, who she thought of as a brother.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her son Glen Perry Cole, Jr. in 1958.
Friends may call on Saturday, May 22, 2010, at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA. The family will receive guests from 1 to 2 pm and a memorial service will begin at 2 pm on Saturday.
Interment will be held privately at a later date in Leesburg Union Cemetery.
