Evelyn J. Thornton's Obituary
EVELYN J. THORNTON, 74, a lifelong resident of Leesburg, Virginia before moving to Marietta, GA to be closer to a daughter died on Friday, October 22, 2010. Mrs. Thornton was born in Leesburg to the late James Moten and Evelyn Trammel Moten. She was educated in Loudoun County Public Schools and continued with the school system as an employee for another 27 years.
Mrs. Thornton is survived by her mother: Evelyn T. Moten; four beloved children: Bernard Thornton, Steve Thornton, Judy Nelson, Gloria Neal; Nine grandkids; Five great grandchildren; two Aunts: Lucenda Trammel, Bernice Morris and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call from 10am until time of services at 11:00am on Friday, October 29th 2010 at the First Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 216 Loudoun Street in Leesburg with Rev. Harold S. Stinger officiating. Interment will be private at a later date.
