EVIE MANUEL's Obituary
EVIE SUE MANUEL, 74, of Leesburg, Virginia, passed away in her home on February 23, 2023. The graveside service will be held at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Upperville, VA, March 18 at 11am. Following will be a memorial service at Middleburg Community Center’s Terrace Room between 12:00 noon and 4pm.
Evie was born on January 4, 1949 in Leesburg, VA; to the late Macneece Grimes, and the late Josie Byrnes Grimes. She married the late Joseph “Joe” A. Manuel in June of 1968 and they welcomed their son, Joseph “Joey” A Manuel, Jr in March of 1970. Evie loved cooking for her family and a variety of crafts including beading, embroidery, pottery and many more. She enjoyed playing logic games and following her many friends and family on Facebook, most especially her nephew’s children Allison, Madison and the late Christina Manuel. She loved to play word games online and especially enjoyed her work as an office administrator at the Leesburg Animal Park.
Evie leaves her family to cherish her memory including her son Joseph “Joey” A. Manuel Jr., her daughter in law, Amber Wright; grandson, Gavin Wright; her sisters Inez Carlisle and Joanne Grimes; her nephew and niece, Jeff Manuel and Sherrie Manuel; her nephews Steward Carlisle and Dwight Carlisle; and several cousins; as well as many more family and friends.
