Flora Pearson's Obituary
FLORA MAE PEARSON, 84, life long resident of Loudoun County, died on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in Leesburg. Mrs. Pearson was born in Pleasant Valley, Virginia to the late Berkley Lee and Lula Shockley Poland. Frank J. Pearson, Jr., her husband of 54 years also predeceased her. She graduated from Aldie High School with the class of 1943 and pursued a 38-year career with the DC Government. Mrs. Pearson was a long time member of the Little River Baptist Church where she was responsible for starting the church library many years ago. She was also involved in the 29th Infantry Division Association Auxiliary. Mrs. Pearson enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Frank J. “Sonny” Pearson, III of Leesburg, Virginia; a brother: Berkley H. Poland of Reedsville, Virginia; two grandchildren: Duffy Pearson of Aldie and Beth Williams of Leesburg; a great grandson: Garrett Pearson and other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Cr. SE in Leesburg from 6-8 pm on Friday, August 27th 2010. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Saturday, August 28th at 11:30am. Interment will be in National Memorial Park, Falls Church, Virginia.
