Florance Etta Trammel's Obituary
Florance Etta Trammel, 87, departed this life on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 in Leesburg, VA.
She was born in Leesburg, VA, on March 9, 1923 to the late George and Inez Trammel. A native of Loudoun County, Florance was raised in Lincoln. She worked as a housekeeper and caring for children. She was a missionary for her church, Mt. Olive Baptist.
She is survived by her two devoted children; Douglas and daughter-in-law: Lisa of Winchester and Roberta Trammel and son-in-law: Edward of Sterling; two grandchildren, Aja and Bridget Trammel and one great granddaughter Aiyana, all of Leesburg. She is also survived by her former daughter-in-law: Kathleen Trammel, and brothers-in-laws: Melvin King and Jerry Dill, 2 adopted granddaughters Jessica and Emily Hershman of Leesburg and a host of other family and friends.
Florance was predeceased by her five siblings:Pearl Dill, Arthur Trammel, Martha Cowan, George Trammel and Louella King.
Friends may call on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 7 to 9 pm at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 11am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Lincoln, VA.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
Donations may be made in Florance’s memory to the Mt. Olive Baptist Church Missionary Society.
