Floyd William Furr's Obituary
FLOYD WILLIAM FURR, 88, of Lovettsville, Virginia passed on Thursday, December 18, 2025.
Floyd was born on November 26, 1937, to the late Floyd A. Furr and Carrie (Lee Fishback) Furr in Richmond, Virginia.
He leaves his family to cherish his memory including his wife of 62 years Shirley Ann Furr, his children, Mark A. Furr (Christa) and Keith L. Furr (Sherry Santmyer), siblings, Mary Hurd, Carroll Furr (Thelma), and Ann Carter, grandchildren, Amy Carter, Brian Furr, Alayna Furr, Levi Furr, and great grandchildren, Peyton and Graham. Along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by three of his siblings, Etta Looney, Mattie Charney, and George Furr, as well as brothers in law, Ed Charney, Art Hurd, and Carl B Carter.
Floyd grew up in Delaplane, Virginia, where he attended Marshal High School. He was the owner of Gull Corporation from 1973 to present. Floyd enjoyed golfing, gardening, and frequenting 7/11 for his coffee and scratch off tickets. He was also an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and Nationals.
Services are being handled privately.
