Floyd Trammel's Obituary
Floyd Braxton Trammel, Sr., 56, of Purcellville, VA, died Monday, May 7, 2007, at Reston Hospital in Reston, VA. Born on December 30, 1950, in Loudoun County, VA. One of seven children, he was the son of the late George H. Trammel, Jr. and the late Peggy Ann Smith Trammel. Life long of Loudoun Floyd served his country in U.S. Army. He worked for Lowe''s in Leesburg as a Delivery driver. He was also employed as a concrete finisher for Southland Concrete. Finally, he retired as Head Custodian with Loudoun County High School in 1992. Mr. Trammel was also a past Vice President of the NAACP, and a member of New Life Church of Sterling, VA.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Trammel of Purcellville, VA; two daughters, Marie "Toni" (Trammel) and her husband Thomas Avery of Purcellville, VA, and Jasmine (Trammel) and her husband Morgan Phillips of Woodbridge, VA; his son, Floyd Braxton Trammel, Jr. of Oakwood, VA.
He is also survived by his siblings, Howard Lee Trammel of Leesburg, VA, Joy Ann Anderson of Centreville, VA, George H. Trammel, III of Sterling, VA, Wayne Arthur Trammel of Sacramento, CA, Anthony Lynn Trammel of Manassas, VA, and seven grandchildren. Friends may call on Friday, May 11, 2007 from 10 am until the time of funeral service at 11:00 am, at First Mount Olive Baptist Church 216 Loudoun Street, Leesburg, VA, at 11:00 AM Friday, May 11, 2007 , Rev. Cary Johnson officiating.
Interment will be in Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery in Lincoln, VA. Arrangements are being handled by Loudoun Funeral Chapels, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE 20175, Leesburg, VA.
