Frank Wallace Byer's Obituary
Frank W. Byer of Sterling, VA passed away June 25, 2016 in Leesburg, VA. Frank was born in 1937 in Cumberland, MD. Beloved husband of Sandra Byer and loving father of Brent and (Darlene) Byer of Leesburg, VA, Vicki Byer and (Rodney) Qualls of Clarksville, MD and predeceased by his daughter Karen Byer Costello in 1989.
Mr. Byer lived in the Sterling area for over 50 years. He was a strong supporter of youth athletics in the community as a coach and avid follower of his son’s successful baseball team. Mr. Byer retired from the Navy Department as a civilian employee after 30 years of service in the Washington,DC area and Crystal City, VA. He also served in the Navy after high school.
Frank and Sandra enjoyed their retirement years traveling and spending time with their families and grandchildren: Ashley Byer, Karen Qualls, Brian Qualls and Kevin Qualls. Frank and Sandra were married for almost 60 years.
Friends may call on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 11-1:00pm at Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA. Burial at Union Cemetery in Leesburg, VA following the visitation. Please share condolences with the family at www.loudounfuneralchapel.com
