I am deeply saddened to read of Mr. Drummonds passing. As a longtime employee of Loudoun County our paths crossed many times. A finer gentleman I never knew. My best to his family.
I was blessed to have known Fred and Peggy when I served as assistant principal at Catoctin. Fred always put the needs of his students first, and was a role model to us all. My sympathies go out to Jerome and his family.
The memorials to this dear saint and his amazing wife are far greater than time would permit or my limited vocabulary could speak. What a dynamic duo, led by God. It is so evident by the tributes and sincere accolades expressed, that they impacted the lives of so many. She was my hairdresser and they taught my brothers and sister in Sunday School at Grace UMC when we were kids growing up in Purcellville. They were great friends of our family (Mildred & Richard Ceasar). I give thanks to God for lending us two of His special angels for a while, - they fought the good fight and have run their race – I know they are receiving the crown laid up for them in heaven. They gave so much, we must continue to give back by loving and helping one another.

It was my honor to be a professional colleague of Fred and Peggy for many years of their careers in Loudoun County public schools. I am also grateful that he was the principal at Catoctin elementary school for all three of my children. Fred was an educational icon in Loudoun County, and he will be missed by generations whose lives were touched by his caring, leadership, and love. I am sorry that I will not be able to join Jerome and his family and friends for Fred's funeral as I am attending the wedding of my great niece in Charleston South Carolina. Please know how much I care for you and take comfort in your knowledge that your dad and mom are back together again. Ed Hatrick
I've been told that Mr. Drummond was an icon at LCPS and influenced many in a great way. What a legacy for all to aspire to have. Peace be with his family and friends.
While I never worked with Mr. Drummond, I felt honored to meet him because I have heard so many stories from people of the positive impact he had on them. He clearly was an inspirational leader and a kind man. He is missed.
I knew Fred and Peggy for a long time. They are now together again. Bless them.
