Frederick C. Precht's Obituary
Frederick Carl Precht passed away on Thurs, March 21, 2019. Born on Sunday, August 12, 1928 in New York City, New York. He was the son of the late Friedrich and Frieda (Herbst) Precht.
He had settled in Queens, NY after marrying Ursula in 1952. Fred worked at Grumman on Long Island in the 60’s, working on the Lunar Modules, used by NASA for the moon landings. While working for Grumman he was transferred to Reston in 1987 where he worked on the International Space Station. Fred and Ursula lived in Lansdowne since 2001. Fred was a long standing member of the Gourmet Club and the Wine Tasting Group.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan, sons William and Robert, and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded by his wife Ursula in March of 2017.
A viewing and services will be at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle SE, Leesburg on Thursday, March 28 from 2 to 4PM with a service at 3pm in the chapel.
