Frederick Allen Rounds' Obituary
Frederick A. Rounds, 66 of Leesburg, Virginia died on Monday, March 25, 2013, at Loudoun Hospital Cornwall Unit in Leesburg, Virginia.
Fred was born on Friday, February 21, 1947 in Keyser, West Virginia. He was a son of the late Charles Rounds and the late Rachel Bever Rounds. He was also predeceased by a brother, Charles A. Rounds and a sister, Beverly K. Rounds.
He served his country in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War where he was awarded many medals including a Bronze Star, an Army Air Medal, a Marksman Medal, and many other honors. Fred retired from Lockheed Martin, where he worked in facilities maintenance for 25 years. He was recently an employee of Loudoun County Public Schools.
Fred leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years, Linda K. Rounds of Leesburg, his 2 daughters: Stephanie Rounds Wolf of Leesburg, VA and Carrie Rounds Correia & son-in-law Tom Correia of Aldie, VA; beloved grandchildren: Jeffrey A. Wolf, Sean A. Wolf, Ashley L. Wolf, and Logan Elizabeth Correia. Fred is also survived by his brother, Kenneth L. Rounds & wife Sue of Bluffton, SC; his sister-in-law Dorothy Rounds of Laurel, MD; mother-in-law Ola E. Johnson, plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175, with Pastor Ron Sage of Crossroads Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Leesburg Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
