G. Katherine Kay Reardon's Obituary
G. Katherine (Kay) Reardon passed away Tuesday, November 5th at the age of 99. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1925, then moved to Washington, D.C. and on to New Rochelle, New York.
She graduated from Ursuline Academy and was a graduate of Dunbarton College with a major in music and a minor in history. Prior to marrying the love of her life, William, she worked for Waring Blender in New York City. While staying home with their four children, she served as President of the Auxiliary to the Southern Medical Association. She helped raise money for medical scholarships and research through the American Medical Association Education & Research Foundation. She worked as a project assistant for the law firm of Watt, Teider, Hoffer, and Fitzgerald in McLean, Virginia.
She enjoyed playing bridge, reading and traveling with friends.
She and Bill were married for 56 years. Even though he passed in 2010, she kept their marriage alive in her heart. They are survived by their children, Kathy Harlow, Sue DiGangi, John Reardon, Trish Reardon; sons-in-law Michael Harlow, Joe DiGangi; grandchildren, Jenny & Danny Harlow, Lisa Kelley, Steven & Karen Berg-DiGangi; their spouses Skylar Harlow, Valerie DiGangi & Ariel Berg-DiGangi. Great grandchildren, Addison & Tessa Kelley, McKenna & Joseph DiGangi.
Funeral mass will be held at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Ashburn VA on Tuesday, November 12 at 10 am.
