GAIL ADAMS BASHAW
BASHAW, GAIL ADAMS, 80, passed away at her home in Lovettsville, VA on Sunday, September 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brownsville, PA in 1938, Gail was the daughter of the late Frank and Gertrude (Byers) Adams. Beloved wife of the late Walter R. “Bob” Bashaw, Gail was a wonderful mother to Walter “Bob” (Megan) Bashaw II and Christine “Christy” (Richard “Rick”) Adams. She was the cherished Mimi to Cecilia, Colin, Nathan and Sara Bashaw and grandmother to J.R. Adams; sister-in-law of Janice Gardner and aunt to Jennifer Gardner. Bob and Gail called West Chester, PA their home for over 25 years after they were married in 1962. Gail was an avid reader and expert plantswoman, starting the family’s flower and vegetable garden each year from seed. Gail made many beautiful cross-stitched and crocheted gifts for her family and she enjoyed supporting her late husband, Bob (W3ZEH), in his passion for amateur radio. Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Lovettsville Union Cemetery located at 12930 Lutheran Church Road in Lovettsville, VA. A reception will follow. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff in the ICU and PCU at Inova Loudoun Hospital and Capital Caring for their tender care and support in Gail’s final days.
