Words cannot express the heartbreak of losing our dear friend, Gale. Was there ever a time that Gale did not have a smile on her face, with her bubbly voice, laughing with friends -- I can see her so clearly and this is how we will always remember her. My time spent with Gale working together as co-chairs for the 2005 Designer Showhouse was when she and I bonded, and it cemented a friendship forever. Even after we moved away, she remained in my heart and soul. Because that is what Gale gave to one fortunate enough to be called a friend -- and she had so many -- a piece of herself. We will hold dear what she left behind -- a beautiful memory of a life well lived, but much too short.
