Gaye Lynne Conrad's Obituary
Gaye Lynne Conrad sadly passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024, at the age of 57. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. She had many beloved family members and friends locally as well as many close friends in online communities, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.
Born Sunday, August 14, 1966 in Missouri; she was the daughter of the late Earl Wean Jr. and Sylvia Jones Pretre. In her early adult years she attended Shepherd University to become certified as a nursing assistant. After several years of service in nursing care and hospice work; she switched her focus to raising her children.
Upon spending more time at home she developed an interest and passion in computer related work such as: Computer graphics arts, website design, game moderation, video game beta testing, and blogging. She met many dear friends in these online communities.
Gaye leaves many to cherish her memory including her husband of 34 years, James Conrad Jr., sons, Blayne Conrad and Daegan Conrad, her mother Sylvia Jones Pretre, brothers, sisters, and extended family.
A Funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Monday at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175. The family will receive guests for visitation beginning at 11:00AM.
