Gene Edward Hook's Obituary
Gene Edward Hook, 76, a resident of Leesburg, VA since 1966, died on Wednesday October 10, 2007 in Leesburg. Mr. Hook was born March 4, 1931 in Paw Paw, WV to the late Edward and Elizabeth Whitacre Hook. A son Todd Hook also predeceased him. He served his country in the Navy aboard the U.S. Coral Sea during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Hook resided in Arlington, VA prior to Leesburg and worked for 30 years as a Power Plant Engineer with the National Institution of Health Research Center in Poolsville, MD before retiring in 1987.
Mr. Hook is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Mrs. Mary Lou Hardy Hook of Leesburg; two children: Gregory Hook of Lovettsville, VA, Deborah Chapman of Winchester, VA; one brother: Roland Hook of Stevens City, VA, Colleen Hesson of Front Royal, VA; six grandchildren: Catharine Woodward, Sarah Manning, Rebecca, Jason Herndon, Jennifer Herndon, Steven Chapman and a host of other relatives and friends.
Friends may call on Friday October 12, 2007 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel 158 Catoctin Cr. SE. Leesburg, VA from 7-9pm. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00am on Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Eugene Nichols officiating. Interment will be in Woodrow Cemetery, Paw Paw, WV.
