George Ann Hetherington's Obituary
Mrs. George Ann “Georgie” Hetherington, 77 of Ashburn, Virginia died on Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Loudoun Nursing & Rehabilitation in Leesburg, Virginia.
Born Thursday, July 9, 1936 in Washington DC, she was the daughter of the late George Bernard Mullin & the late Mary Miller Mullin. She was the wife of the late Col. Robert Hetherington.
She graduated from The University of Maryland in 1958 with a Bachelors of Science in Education.
Georgie was a first grade teacher and taught all over the United States in places such as NY, FL, HI, MD & VA.
She is survived by her daughters, Kristine Karole Timm of Herndon, VA, Barbara Lynne Hetherington of Ashburn, VA, and Colleen Hetherington Myers of Bend, OR; as well as two sisters, Christine Dehn, and Micki Manders, both of MD.
She is also survived by four beloved grandchildren.
Georgie was an amazing mother and grandmother. She was a giving and generous person that everyone loved. She had an uncanny way of making everyone feel comfortable and always made a new friend wherever she went. She will be greatly missed by everyone she touched.
A memorial service will begin at 1:30 PM on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175 with the Rev. Richard Guest officiating.
