George William Lee Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. George William Lee, Jr., “JuneBug” 72 of Sterling, Virginia passed on Friday, October 3, 2014.
George was born on Saturday, September 19, 1942 in Leesburg, VA.
He was a son of the late George W. Lee and the late Helen Alberta Thornton Lee.
George attended Loudoun County Public Schools and worked for over 30 years as a mechanic for HB Lantzsch in Fairfax, VA, until retiring in 1994.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Marcia A. Lee of Sterling, VA, sons, George W. (June) Lee, III of Woodbridge, VA and Brian O. (Wendy) Lee of Martinsburg, WV; daughters, Dorraine A. “Raine”Lee of Winchester, VA, Romaine "Breezy" Minifield-Green of Leesburg, Regina (Dan) Burke of Manassas, VA, Chrystal A. Lee of Leesburg, VA and Buffy L. Davis of Washington, DC.
He is also survived by his step daughter Dawn M. (John) Shellington of Casanova, VA, and step son Anthony B. (Anne) Lee of Leesburg, VA, sister, Joanne M. (Raymond) Jackson of Manassas, VA, a special friend and caregiver Bernard E. “Bates” Sheppard; 21 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, other family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Barbara J. Robinson.
Funeral services began at 11:00 AM on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at Loudoun Funeral Chapel located at 158 Catoctin Circle, SE Leesburg, Virginia 20175 with the Rev. Roy A. Trammell, Sr. officiating.
The family received friends 1 hour prior to the funeral from 10 to 11 am.
Interment was held privately at a later date, Leesburg, VA.
