George Gregory Pattakos

George Pattakos born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He enlisted in the Army after high school and continued to serve until his retirement in 1967. His is survived by his wife Helen of 60 years, daughter Georgia and husband Mike Bass, daughter Denise Pattakos, son Gregory Pattakos and daughter Susan and husband Tony Marx. George also survived by his three granddaughters, Lauren and husband Brian Chevalier, Samantha Marx and Carly Marx and two great grandsons, Jack Baker and Ryan George Chevalier.
George lived a blessed life with no regrets. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and uncle and a great friend to many. He enjoyed boating and fishing at the eastern shore, gardening, cooking, the theatre and traveling the world. Spending time with his family was most important to him.
George touched many lives and was kind to everyone he met, always cracking a joke and making people smile. His sense of humor was noted by all who knew him.
George will be truly missed by his family and friends.
George requested, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Services and interment are presently pending with Arlington National Cemetery.
