I have only the fondest memories of George. He was a wonderful person, a great leader, and mentor to many, and one of our best officers. And Eileen, George and I had some good laughs while studying French. Mike Walker

George was one of the most incredibly brave, fierce, and courageous mentors I have ever had. It was truly a pleasure to serve with him and to witness his creativity firsthand. His approach to our work was always fueled by passion—passion he passed on to me and so many others.
He will forever remain one of the greatest officers I have had the honor of serving beside. I will never forget the poem he wrote, *“The Unsung Hero,”* a piece that touched me deeply and continues to resonate with me to this day.
God bless you, George, for your service, your leadership, and for the profound impact you had on my life. You will be deeply missed.
RIP

I was so very sad to hear this news from my mom. I treasure happy memories with our beloved “Thwickers” as my brother Nathaniel used to call them, particularly on the beaches of Malaysia in the early 80’s. I am so terribly sorry for your loss and know how incredibly Mr. Swicker will be missed… sending love and light…
