GEORGE FRANKLIN VIRTS, 83, a life long resident of Lovettsville, VA died on Wednesday June 21, 2006 in Front Royal, VA.
Mr. Virts is survived by his wife of 58 years: Junne P. Virts of Lovettsville, VA; four children: Toby Virts of Annandale, VA, Lynn Welsh of Fairfax, VA, Kenny Virts of Lovettsville, VA, Sam Virts of Sarasota, FL; five grandchildren: Chrissy, Lisa, Brian, Rob, Kevin; one great granddaughter: Hannah; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may call at the Brown/Loudoun Funeral Chapel 34 East Broad Way, Lovettsville, VA on Friday June 23, 2006 from 6-8pm. Where services will follow at 11:00am on Saturday June 24, 2006 with Rev. Roland England officiating.
Mr. Virts was born November 9, 1922 in Lovettsville, VA to the late Leroy Eugene and Martha Ann Frye Virts. He was one of thirteen in his graduating class from Lovettsville High. Mr. Virts served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Radio Man during WWII in Europe and Japan. He worked as a telegrapher with the Railroad in Brunswick, MD from 1949-1960. Mr. Virts was the owner/operator of the Virts’ Sinclair Service Station in Lovettsville, VA from 1958-1966. He completed his working career as a maintenance engineer with the Federal Aviation Administration in Leesburg, VA from 1967-1987. Mr. Virts was a charter member of the Game Protection Association, Lovettsville, VA and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge.
