George Walker Hughes' Obituary
Mr. George Walker Hughes, 95, of Ashburn, VA, died Sunday, December 13, 2009, at Loudoun Nursing & Rehabilitation in Leesburg, VA. He was a member of the Providence Baptist Church. Born on January 5, 1914 in Leesburg, VA.
He was the son of the late Tony A. Hughes and the late Eva Cooper Hughes.
Mr. Hughes worked as a farm laborer for over 30 years.
He is survived by his wife Christelle Hughes of Ashburn, VA,
three sons: Joseph Hughes, MD, Tony Hughes, Atlanta, GA
Charles Hughes, Ashburn, VA, three daughters, Anna Mae Winfield, Washington, DC, Arreta Ellis, Sterling, VA
Betty Hearns, Ashburn, VA; his one sister: Martha Williams of Washington, DC; plus a host of grandchildren and other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am and where funeral services will follow at Providence Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 19, 2009, Rev. Dr. Herbert C. Love officiating.
Interment will be at Mt. Zion Community Cemetery, Leesburg, VA.
