To Gerardo's Family,
Gerardo cut my hair for about 25 years. During this time we developed a deep friendship. We shared the same politics and often spoke about that. He was a master at interacting with people and finding topics of interest to share. The last time I had an appointment, I saw him reassuring the client before me, who was about to have serious surgery. He cared about his clients and we in turn cared about him. It is amazing how long he continued to cut hair, but I know he had difficulty sitting still and this fed his need to get up and go as well as to keep these connections he had built.
I know Gerardo had strong opinions, which his children and grandchildren may have chaffed at, but be assured that he loved you very much and often spoke proudly of you.
