OBITUARY INFORMATION
GILBERT JOHN FURGUSON, 82, a resident of Ashburn, Virginia since 2000, died on Thursday December 8, 2005 in Leesburg, Virginia.
Mr. Furguson is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years: Mildred M. Smith Furguson of Ashburn, Virginia; a daughter: Linda and Gordy Lehr of Ashburn, Va.; one son: Larry and Debbie Furguson of Marion, N.Y.; four sisters: Irene Eichinger, Betty Sessler, Judy Schultz all of Zephyrhills, Florida, Alice Vohs of Sumter, S.C.; five grandchildren: Lorraine Giles, Kristin Bolayir, Rob Lehr, Chad Furguson, Brett Furguson; four great grandchildren: Kristina Giles, Haley Furguson, Selin Bolayir, Conner Furguson;In addition to his parents, Mr. Furguson was predeceased by his three brothers: Rollin, Gordon and Robert Furguson.
Memorial Services will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday December 11, 2005 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle S.E., Leesburg, Virginia with Pastor Dave Norman officiating.
A private interment will follow at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia with military honors.
Mr. Furguson was born October 11, 1923 in Sterling, N.Y to the late Arlington J. and Addie Miner Furguson. He served his country during WWII in the U.S. Army. Mr. Furguson retired in 1982 as an expeditor for the Eastman Kodak Company, Rochester, N.Y.. He was an avid bowler, bowling with the Odd Fellows for many years in Sodus, N.Y. Mr. Furguson was a member of the Palmyra Second Reform Church, Palmyra, N.Y. and attended the Ashburn United Methodist Church, Ashburn, Virginia since moving to Virginia.
