Glada Christine Phillips' Obituary
Glada Christine Phillips of Leesburg, VA, died June 21, 2008 at Rose Hill Nursing Home in Berryville, VA. Born on March 28, 1928 in Radford, VA. She was a daughter of the late Ulysses and Ida Turpin. Glada devoted her life to God and her family. She was a vital part of the family business-Phillips Wood Service.
On Jan. 9, 1954 in Frederick, MD she married her husband of 47 years, the late William N. Phillips. She was also predeceased by a sister and a brother.
She is survived by her children Gary D. Phillips, of Leesburg, VA; Donna J. Woody of Leavenworth, KS; Karen J. Buchanan of Stephenson, VA; and Steven L. Phillips, of Leesburg, VA; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two sisters: Retta J. Montgomery of Dublin, VA, Mary L. Quesenberry of Lucketts, VA, and a brother: Thornton H. Turpin of Radford, VA.
Friends may call on Wed. June 25, 2008 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 at the Loudoun Funeral Chapel, 158 Catoctin Circle, SE, Leesburg, VA; where funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 10:00am.
Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Leesburg.
Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Phillips memory to Casey’s House Cat Rescue, 161 Pine Grove Road, Bluemont, VA 20135.
