Gordon Jennings' Obituary
Gordon Watt Jennings, 87, of Leesburg, formerly of Washington, DC, died Thursday, April 12, 2007, at INOVA Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg.
Ret. Foreman of the Washington Suburban Sanitation Com. Born on January 10, 1920 in Halifax Co, VA; One of six children, he was a son of the late Hiram Jennings and the late Grace Elizabeth Spraggins Jennings. Mr. Jennings was predeceased by his wife Gladys Elizabeth Bennett in 2003.
He is survived by his four children: Hiram (Patricia) Jennings of Upper Marlboro, Florence (Sidney) Burgess of Washington, DC, Mary Elizabeth Jennings of Hyattsville, MD, and Regina Jennings of Leesburg, VA; a sister-in-law: Irene Jennings of Nathalie, VA, and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call Heritage Baptist Church, 21700 Shellhorn Road, Ashburn, VA on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 from 6 to 8 pm. Friends may call on Friday, April 20, 2007 from 9:30 until the time of service @ 11:00am at the New Redeemer Baptist Church, 5714 Georgia Avenue, NW, Washington, DC, 20011. Funeral services and interment will also be held at New Shiloh Baptist Church 1088 Shiloh Church Road, Nathalie, VA 24577, on Saturday, April 21, with viewing from 11am until time of service at 12:30p.m.
