Harold Jacob Van Buren III's Obituary
My father, Harold J. Van Buren III , has passed away on December 3rd, 2016 at 4:23 PM surrounded by friends and family. Harold J. Van Buren III was a great man. He tried his hardest every day and worked hard for the ones he loved. He was a veteran of the Air Force in which he served his country for 20 years. When times were hard, he often had to work three jobs, toiling for the sake of keeping a roof over our heads and a meal on our tables. My mom and I have lost our rock. Dad was a great man, who struggled against diabetes and injuries and illnesses for years. He struggled so hard and showed so much improvement in his health. He was always quick with a joke, even if it was only to mask his own suffering and pain. He was a very private man when it came to his emotions, never wanting to burden others with his worries and doubts. Dad only wanted to make others happy and live a peaceful life. Sadly, a long and difficult battle with diabetes and 7 years of dialysis took a toll on his body.
To say that I miss my dad is an understatement. He was a warm, caring man with many friends and family members who will also miss him dearly.
He is survived by a wife, Young Cha Van Buren, a son, Jeffery William Van Buren, 3 sisters and a brother.
Additional obituary and service information is presently pending with Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
